A common argument for leaving X is that disinformation and hate speech are less combated than before. However, moderation remains a complex issue. Musk has relaxed certain moderation practices, but also introduced Community Notes, a system in which users correct each other. Another factor that compounds this challenge is the rise of artificial intelligence (AI). AI tools can generate increasingly realistic-looking disinformation, making it even harder to separate fact from fiction. The big question is how to regulate the use of these technologies to counter disinformation and safeguard the marketing list truth, without endangering freedom of expression.
